On 3 November 2022, relevant stakeholders and implementing partners from ECA, UNEP, UN-Habitat, WHO, UNICEF, and local governmental agencies were convened to an online information session organized by the UNRSF Secretariat to discuss and develop a project to improve non-motorized transport system safety through the implementation of cycling systems in Nigeria.

At the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly 42nd Session on 30 October, Nneka Henry, Head of UNRSF, called on ACP and EU parliamentarians to advocate for road safety as international development assistance priority that bolsters climate action, quality education, better business, health wellbeing, gender equality, and sustainable cities.
