This project proposes to establish the Alliance of Cities for Road Safety (ACRoS) which aims to become a one-stop shop for cities to engage in capacity building, receive technical advice, implement catalytic action and benefit from city-to-city exchange.

This project aims to create a model for supporting the development of sustainable national capacity for road policing in low and middle countries by incorporating road policing into the agenda and mandate of the WHO, UNODC and UN Police, three UN agencies most frequently engaged in policing, the wider agenda of crime prevention and law enforcement.

This UNESCAP-implemented project will support the development and enhancement of inclusive road design standards and practices in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) region to ensure that they mitigate potential road safety risks.

To reduce the high rate of road fatalities disproportionately affecting drivers of two and three-wheelers in the South-East Asia region and increase motorcyclists' safety, UNECE and UN ESCAP are supporting ASEAN states to promote the use of motorcycle anti-lock braking system (ABS).

In Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal, this UNRSF project implemented by UN ESCWA is supporting the transportation authorities to develop geometric design standards to ensure roads are designed to provide adequate levels of safety and accessibility to all road users. 

The UN Road Safety Fund's partners; UN-HABITAT, WHO and UN ESCAP, are working with authorities in Thailand to improve to identify the root causes of motorized two-wheeler crashes and develop new policies and strategies to improve motorized two-wheeler safety.

This project, implemented by United Nations Development Programme and the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in partnership with the local authorities, focuses on building the capacity of Nepal's lead road safety agency, the National Road Safety Council, to improve road safety.

To improve road safety in the Republic of Serbia and of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the UNRSF is funding a project implemented by the the UN Economic Commission for Europe and World Health Organisation to include an in-depth analysis of road crashes as a valuable tool for improving road safety in the countries' road safety national strategies.
