    The project aims to provide 24/7 emergency medical services (EMS) in Uganda, including on-site first aid, well-equipped ambulatory services, toll-free communication, and a district-level EMS coordination structure. The project also seeks to build the capacity of 5 trauma (emergency) units in 5 health facilities by training emergency response teams, equipping the centers, and advocating for increased funding for EMS at the national level.

    This project aims to improve post-crash care and outcomes for victims of Road Traffic Injuries (RTIs) by improving the capacity of first responders and hospitals to care for these patients RTIs. The project will implement and test the impact of 6 components of the WHO emergency care toolkit in pre-hospital and hospital settings in Tanzania along the busy A7 highway connecting the north and south of Tanzania.
