To mark the official launch of a Second Decade of Action for Road Safety, Consumers International and the United Nations Road Safety Fund come together to unveil how global change can be achieved.

From protecting the pedestrians on African roads, ensuring effective post-crash response in Bangladesh, to giving safe access to schools in Paraguay, the UNRSF continues to leverage new financing and partnerships for road safety.

Excessive and inappropriate speed is one of the most important factors contributing to road fatalities and injuries in many countries. For the Philippines, the WHO Global Status Report on Road Safety 2018 rated national speed limit law enforcement at only 5 out of 10, indicating a critical gap and highlighting an opportunity for targeted efforts.
