Nneka Henry presens at NETS Conference

Today, the Head of UNRSF, Ms Nneka Henry, participated virtually in the 2022 NETS Annual Strength IN Numbers Fleet Safety Benchmark Conference and delivered a presentation on “the biggest opportunity to halve road deaths and injuries by 2030” during the general session of “How NETS Can Unite with the United Nations”.

In her presentation, Nneka Henry gave an overview of the established trajectory of UNRSF and its objectives, elaborated on how the Fund has been enhancing road safety in low- and middle-income countries through high-impact projects and the social media campaign #moments2live4, and called for partnership with the UNRSF.

“The biggest opportunity to halve road traffic deaths and injuries is to channel support to the 125 low- and middle-income countries, which are accounting for 93% of the world’s road traffic deaths and injuries”, said Nneka Henry. "With private sector contributions to the Fund, best practices, and advocacy, we can realize the biggest opportunity to halve road deaths and injuries by 2030."
