26 Sep 2022
Project managers and experts from UNDP, WHO, UNECE and relevant government agencies gathered to enhance the post-pandemic road safety system in Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Following the approval to fund the project on ‘Building back better (BBB) road safety system based on in-depth analysis of road accidents in August, an online information session was held by UNRSF Secretariat on 26 September to present the project plan and further discuss implementation details, convening experts from UNDP, WHO, UNECE and relevant government agencies.

The Republic of Serbia (RS) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) continue to record a high number of road deaths per million inhabitants compared to the EU average in the post-pandemic period. Therefore, the project aims to promote the post-pandemic road safety system in the RS and BiH by developing a prescribed national methodology for in-depth analyses of road accidents.
