On 2 December, the Steering Committee members had their bi-annual meeting at the Palais de Nations in Geneva.

The Steering Committee has direct oversight of the Fund and the authority to make decisions, such as the approval of projects for funding in line with the strategic direction provided by the Advisory Board.

In the eleventh gathering session, Mr Weimin Ren, Director of the Transport Division, UNESCAP, served as Chair of the UNRSF Steering Committee, taking over from Mr Mohamed el Hacene Moctar.
