UN Road Safety Fund Honoured with Mohammed VI International Prize for Road Safety

The UN Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Mohammed VI International Prize for Road Safety at the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, held in Marrakech under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Boost road safety for people, planet and prosperity
Ahead of the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, 16 UN leaders and Morocco’s Transport Minister called for immediate action to end road deaths and achieve the UN target of halving fatalities by 2030. Read more.
Global leaders re-commit to improving road safety at UNRSF High-Level Pledging Forum
At the UNRSF High-Level Pledging Forum in Marrakesh, leaders and industry partners committed new funding for road safety in 125+ high-risk countries. Eight new UNRSF projects were announced to help cut road deaths by 2030.

Road Safety Management in Nepal
This project, implemented by United Nations Development Programme and the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in partnership with the local authorities, focuses on building the capacity of Nepal's lead road safety agency, the National Road Safety Council, to improve road safety.

Improving Crash Prevention on Federal Highways in Brazil
The project aims to prevent road traffic injuries and deaths on Brazilian federal highways through the development of an interoperable system for collecting and analyzing road data. This will allow for effective countermeasures to be implemented by Brazilian road authorities in charge of infrastructure and enforcement.
