The UN Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) celebrates its fourth anniversary today.
Since its inception in 2018, the Fund has been working to help halve road fatalities and injuries in low- and middle-income countries, where over 90% of the 1.3 million fatal crashes occur each year. At the same time, the Fund has been championing safe and green mobility that promotes healthy lives and lifestyles.

Since its inception in 2018, the Fund has been working to help halve road fatalities and injuries in low- and middle-income countries, where over 90% of the 1.3 million fatal crashes occur each year. At the same time, the Fund has been championing safe and green mobility that promotes healthy lives and lifestyles.
With 25 approved projects in five regions and 30 countries, and with US$ 12.6 million disbursed to date, assistance is already going to support better urban planning for school zones, low emission non-motorized transport, speed management and cleaner, safer used vehicle standards.
