UNRSF at PIARC World Road Congress

The World Road Association (PIARC) is an international association of 125 government members that promotes international cooperation and development in roads and road transport. 

Every four years, PIARC organizes a World Road Congress, convening experts from its member countries to exchange techniques and experiences in the various fields affecting Road Safety.

At the PIARC World Road Congress 2023, Nneka Henry, Head of the UN Road Safety Fund, spoke at key events on: Road Safety Financing in LMICsEffective Road Safety Management in LMICs, and also moderated an Innovation Workshop organized by iRAP.

To truly ensure safer journeys, we must invest in localized capacity building and transfer essential knowledge and skills to those who work tirelessly behind the scenes: road engineers, traffic enforcement officers, city planners, emergency rescue and health workers and so many others.
