Every 24 seconds someone dies on our roads.
Globally, we face a critical opportunity to support workers on the frontline who are working for their communities to stop more deaths on the road.
This 3rd edition of our #moments2live4 campaign advocates supporting traffic officers, school wardens, police, healthcare workers, vehicle inspectors, road auditors, legislators and many other hidden heroes who help make our streets safer.
In 2023, we shouldn’t live in a world where different safe and sustainable mobility standards exist, but it’s still a reality that over 90% of road deaths take place in low-and-middle income countries.
The UN Road Safety Fund provides vital training and legislative support to government workers in countries with some of the highest road traffic fatality rates. Our aim is to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target 3.6: halving deaths on the road.
Now in close to 90 countries, we need your help to reach workers in all 125 low- and middle-income countries.
