UNRSF Key Engagement Opportunities
As we head into the final stretch of 2026, the UN Road Safety Fund is sharing its calendar of key engagement opportunities through December. From the launch of the 2026 Call for Proposals and the regional dialogues that follow it in Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean, to a Strategic Dialogue on Financing Safe and Affordable Helmets, a workshop in Bangkok, and our annual Open Day, this season brings together partners, policymakers, and donors across the UNRSF network to advance our shared safe mobility agenda.

- Presentation of UNRSF Key Engagement Opportunities (22 September, online) — Communications professionals working on road safety learn about UNRSF's key milestones through December and how to get involved.
- Strategic Dialogue on Financing Safe and Affordable Helmets (12 October, hybrid, Geneva — by invitation only) — Major funders of road safety and sustainable-finance experts discuss how UNRSF grants can de-risk and unlock larger investments in certified helmets.
- Launch of the 2026 UNRSF Call for Proposals (12 October, online) — The UNRSF Secretariat publishes the Call for Proposals guidelines and invites eligible applicants to develop proposals with UN Country Teams and specialized agencies.
- Africa: Regional Dialogue on the 2026 Call for Proposals (26 October, online) — Partner organizations, UN Country Teams, and policymakers across Africa engage on opportunities under the Call for Proposals. REGISTER HERE
- Latin America and the Caribbean: Regional Dialogue on the 2026 Call for Proposals (28 October, online, session held in Spanish) — Partner organizations, UN Country Teams, and policymakers across Latin America and the Caribbean engage on opportunities under the Call for Proposals. REGISTER HERE
- Safe and Affordable Helmets Workshop – Asia-Pacific (19–20 November, in person, Bangkok) — Governments, donors, and technical experts convene on the margins of the UNESCAP Ministerial Transport Conference to advance policy and financing solutions for safe, affordable and accessible helmets. - UNRSF 4th Annual Open Day (4 December, online) — Partners, policymakers, and donors review results, exchange insights, and explore opportunities to sustain and expand successful initiatives.
- Brands for Safer Roads Alliance for MSMEs (India Launch) (January, hybrid, Delhi) — MSMEs, policymakers, and technical experts across India launch a policy-to-practice platform to tackle road safety challenges and shape national reforms.
